Bishop's Lodge Description
The Bishop?s Lodge, secluded in its own private valley in the colorful foothills of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, is an exquisite hideaway ranked by Travel and Leisure as one of America?s recreational opportunities and contemporary Southwestern accommodations in a traditional ranch setting. Established in 1851 as a retreat for Jean Baptiste Lamy, the First Bishop of Santa Fe, the Bishop?s lodge has become New Mexico?s vacation playground. Landscaped with lush gardens, lawns and fruit trees, hiking, tennis courts, swimming pool and newly opened full service spa, a fitness center and nearby golfing and skiing. Designed in Spanish Colonial and Native American styles, accommodations include complete modern conveniences and stunning mountain and ranch views. As a Southwestern adventure gateway, the resort is near Santa Fe?s galleries, shops and museums, Taos, Bandelier National Monument and other historical sites.A resort fee of $9 per person will be added to all rooms.   • With either 1 King or 2 Queen Beds, with wood burning or gas fireplaces. Rooms are oversized. All rooms have patios or balconies with varying views of lawns or woods to bring the outdoors in. Style is in the vintage 1930's to reflect the lodges history. Colors are beiges accented with acqual blue. Southwestern accessories adorn the rooms.

    Turn right onto Airport Road, drive approximately 3.2 miles to the traffic light at Cerrillos Road. Turn left onto Cerrillos Road, drive approximately 4.7 miles to the trafficlight at St. Francis Drive. Turn left on to St. Francis Drive and proceed 0.9 miles, through 3 traffic lights to the 4th light at Paseo de Peralta. (Paseo de Peralta is a looproad which intersects twice with St. Francis Drive; you will need the second Paseo de Peralta, with the Bank of America on the north-east corner.) Turn right on Paseo de Peralta, drive one mile through 4 traffic lights to the 5th light at Washington Avenue (to Bishop's Lodge Road). Turn left on to Washington Avenue (the name of the street changes fromWashington Avenue to Bishop's Lodge Road a couple of blocks after you turn). Drive 3.5 miles. The Bishop's Lodge is at the bottom of the hill, on the right. Take Highway I-25 north to Santa Fe. As you come into Santa Fe, take the third exit (#282), St. Francis Drive.Drive north on St. Francis Drive (toward Espanola and Taos) about 3.7 miles, through 10 traffic lights to the 11th light at Paseo de Peralta. (Paseo de Peralta is a loop road which intersects twice with St. Francis Drive; you will need the second Paseo de Peralta, with the Bank of America on the north-east corner.) Turn right on Paseo de Peralta, drive one mile through 4 traffic lights to the 5th light at Washington Avenue (to Bishop's Lodge Road. Turn left on to Washington Avenue (the name of the street changes from Washington Avenue to Bishop's Lodge Road a couple of blocks after you turn).Drive 3.5 miles. The Bishop's Lodge is at the bottom of the hill, on the right. Located just outside of Santa Fe situated in National Forest Santa Fe- 14 Miles NE; Albuquerque- 70 Miles North

    Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a 1 night room + tax charge + resort fee. Resort fee consists of 12.50 USD per person per day. No shows are charged 1 night stay.
